How to Plan Your Silk Road Tour

The Silk Road Tour generally will take around 10 to 15 days to show you the peculiar culture, history and the local folk custom, or we can also make the tour based on your own travel dates. And if your time is available, you can join in our small group tour, this is also a good choice to travel the Silk Road .

When is Better Time to travel the Silk Road
The  better time for the Silk Road Tour is from the middle of March to the middle of November because of pleasant weather and beautiful landscape. The summer can be pretty dry and hot. The winter here is freezing after December. During May to June, the average temperature along the route is around 15 degrees. The scenery is most beautiful during May to June. The accumulated winter snow on the tableland is just melting.The grass is turning green. Visitors can enjoy this enchanting scenery without suffering extreme temperatures. During July to August, they can be hottest months.The sceneries are still nice, but the months just meet the summer holiday of Chinese. There are full of tourists in the scenic spots. So do not suggest you come in July and August very much only if your traveling dates are just during the months. During September to October , the climate is pretty good for traveling.To the middle of Novermber, the temperature goes down a little bit, but still not freezing.

The meals arrangements along the Silk Road
Breakfast normally will be arranged at the hotel where you stay, which is mostly western style buffet. The hotel restaurant is normally not Muslim restaurant, but it is no problem to have some bread, milk,coffee, vegetables, fruits etc.
For the lunch and dinner, the guide will suggest you go to the proper local restaurant for them.
If you are a vegetarian or Muslim, please don’t worry for it. It is easy to find vegetarian and Halal food along the Silk Road,and our guide will help you with ordering what you want to have.
 
Travel facts along the Silk Road
a) There are no elevator and lifts in a few train stations, and no porters can help to carry the luggage. This is a bit difficult for some people.(But we will keep trying our best to negociate with the train station to find someone to help with your luggages if it is possible and if you really need. If we can not get special permission and help from the train station, please prepare yourself mentally to bring the luggages by your own.)
b) September is a tourist season for many people, but after a few months of busy and hard work, some of the hotels and drivers are already exhausted, so the service and attitude might not be as good as before.
c) There are only a few excellent English-Speaking guides in Kashgar, if you book the tour late and those excellent guides are not available, we have no better choice on guide arrangements. If possible,we prefer to arrange the English Mayor student whose attitude andlocal knowledge are still good.
