  • Xian

    Xi an, formerly known as Changan, Haojing in ancient time and now the provincial capital of Shaanxi Province, is an important central city in western China approved by the State Council, as well as an important national scientific research, education and industrial base. Xian is one of the four ancient capitals of ancient China, one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization and nation and the starting point of the Silk Road.
  • Lanzhou

    Lanzhou, called "Lan" or "Gao" in short, formerly known as Jincheng(Gold city), is the capital of Gansu Province, an important industrial base and comprehensive transportation hub in northwest China approved by the State Council and an important hub city on the Silk Road Economic Belt as well. Lanzhou is the only capital city which the yellow river runs through.
  • Zhangye

    Zhangye City is located in the middle of Hexi Corridor in the northwest of Gansu Province. In ancient times it was named Ganzhou, where is the origin of the first character Gan for the name of Gansu Province from. Covering an area of 40,874 square kilometers, it has a population of 1.31 million, mainly Han, and 26 ethnic minorities such as Hui, Yugur, and Mongolian.
  • Jiayuguan

    Jiayuguan City is located in the northwest of Gansu Province, which is in the middle of the Hexi Corridor and 776 kilometers away from the provincial capital Lanzhou. It got the name because the ancient Jiayuguan fort was built here. Nowadays it is a famous steel city as well in the northwest of China.
  • Dunhuang

    Dunhuang is located at the junction point of Gansu ,Qinghai and Xinjiang provinces,which was called "Shazhou" in ancient time. It used to be the customs city between China and west regions in Han dynasty(205B.C.-220A.D.),which played an important role on the ancient silk road and where the four civilizations in the world(ancient China,Greece,India and Islam) converged.
  • Turpan

    Turpan is a prefecture-level city belonging to Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is located in the central and eastern Part of Xinjiang and intermontane basin in the east of Tianshan Mountain. It is adjacent to Urumqi 183 km in the east. It has a long history of over 2000 years with beautiful and magical features. Since the Han Dynasty(221.BC-220AD), Turpan has been the political, economic and cultural center in the western regions of China and an important town on the Silk Road.
