Top Attractions Along the Silk Road

Regarded as the most significant discovery of the 20th century, the Terra-cotta warriors have attracted millions of tourists from home and abroad to visit. The figures of soldiers are quite varied in facial expressions, clothing, hairstyles and gestures. The statues of the horses,chariots and weapons have offered enough detailed evidence for the study of the history, culture, and economy of the Qin Dynasty (221-206 B.C.). 

Maijishan grottos in Tianshui city are the most significant Buddhist cave complexes, which is compared to the "Oriental Sculpture Museum" because of so many colourful sculptures.Together with the Mogao grottos ,Yungang Grottos and Longmen Grottos, they are well known as the four most famous Buddhism grottos in China. When you are climbing along the ladder path to visit,you can not only appreciate the Buddhist arts, but also enjoy the stunning surrounding landscape. 
After enjoying the Buddha Cave Complex in Majishan Grottos , let’s show you around the world cultural heritage,Mogao grottos. It is compared to the mural galley because of large area of beautiful murals. It can be the best preserved grottos among the four most famous ones.
The scenic area of Echoing Sand dune and Crescent lake is another must place to visit in dunhuang, where the most spectacular view of the oasis staying with the desert.

Zhangye Danxia World Geological Park is the most lovely nature attraction  in Gansu. Especially for some  photographers it must be the paradise . The colorful rainbow mountains, valleys, hills, and cliffs seem to bring you to another different world.

After the beautiful scenery , do not forget to visit the famous Jia Yuguan pass ,the west end of Ming great wall. It is a good place to experience the liveliness and prosperity of the ancient Silk Road. 
When you travel to Turpan in Xinjiang,Tuyuq Villagewill bring you different experience for the traditional architecture and custom of Uygur. It used to be a Muslim religious pilgrimage site. Although the remaining area of the Tuyoq Valley is not large, it is still worthy to visit and the prosperity still can be seen from the Maza next to it.

In Urumuqi Tianchi (Heavenly lake) must be a good choice to visit, which is surrounded by snow mountains with green spruce and looks like a sapphire falling from the sky.
If do have not done your personal experience in Kashgar, it may be difficult for you to imagine  how spectacular  the scene of livestocks trading will be. The Sunday Bazar of Kashgar is the largest and most popular livestocks market in Xinjiang, where tourists can experience the trading scene for goats and yaks are . 
Outside the Bazaar, many stalls at the entrance of the market opens, where you can buy the local specialties.
The Old City of Kashgar can be the soul of Kashgar. The proverb says it means you have not been to Xinjiang if you've never been to Kashgar, which means a journey to Xinjiang is never complete without visiting Kashgar Old city. Strolling in the narrow alleys you will be deeply attracted by the Islamic building complexes and Uyghur Customs.
Small Tips:  A lot of information from the doors of the local houses can be gotten. For example, if two doors are open, it means that the male host is at home. If only one door is open, it means only the hostess is at home. If a curtain hung over the front door, it means the guest is visiting them.
