The main project includes a main hall, two side halls in the north and south. There are gateways, a two-story moon tower (Awen called the Minara Tower) at the back of the main hall, the imam's reception room and baptism room.It is not only a place for the local Muslim masses to gather for worship, but also a place for Muslims to resolve disputes and judge matters. After the mosque was built, the Muslim masses held a grand ceremony. In October 1949,Marshal Peng Dehuai visited the Muslim people in the mosque and had cordial talks with them during his inspection work in Jiuquan. Up to now, some Hui people still have vivid memories of the scene at that time.
